Originated in the 7th century. Many variety of pottery are realized by the traditional seven glazes (Shino, Kiseto, Oribe, Ofuke, Haiyu, Koseto, Tetsuyu). Seto-Yaki is one of the Old Six Kilns. Approx. 41 potteries engage in pottery and porcelain production.
