** Otani-Yaki (Tokushima) is Traditional Craft Products designated by the Japanese Government on 2003/9/10.
The production of porcelain were produced in the 18th century, by inviting temporarily potters from Kyushu. In 1784, pottery production started by inviting Shigaraki-Yaki potters. The various utilitarian wares from small to large are being produced now. Approx. 8 potteries engage in pottery and porcelain production.
