The 44th Echizen Pottery Fest!
The 44th Echizen Pottery Fest was held at the Echizen Pottery Village on the end of March. Here are various halls introducing Echizen-Yaki’s history, old pottery and the related information, in addition to the shopping center. 57 potters and artists exhibit their outstanding works in the assigned tents.
Echizen-Yaki is originated in the Heian period (8th to 12th century). This is one of the six old kilns in Japan and the traditional Craft Products designated by the Japanese Government on 1986/3/12.
