Iga-yaki is one of the Japanese old kilns and Traditional Craft Products designated by the Japanese Government on 1982/11/1. Marubashira of Iga city is an area of Iga-Yaki where many traditional potters are conducting pottery making.
Iga-Yaki is called Nanado-Yaki (pottery fired 7 times), resulting in strong appearance with kiln changes and natural ash built-up.
