** Otani-Yaki (Tokushima) is Traditional Craft Products designated by the Japanese Government.
The production of porcelain were produced in the 18th century, by inviting temporarily potters from Kyushu. In 1784, pottery production started by inviting Shigaraki-Yaki potters. The various utilitarian wares from small to large are being produced now. Approx. 8 potteries engage in pottery and porcelain production.
