** Agano-Yaki (Fukuoka) is Traditional Craft Products designated by the Japanese Government.
Located at Fukuoka Prefecture. Originated in the early 17th century. In comparison with other production regions, the ware has thin pottery bodies with almost no painting works due to a nature of the clay. The typical ware is applied with greyish-green glaze. It was one of Enshu Nana Gama (or kiln) well-known national-wide for tea-ware. Approx. 28 potteries engage in pottery production.
